12-27-2005 Acoustic Measurements 200 Yards from Exit

These measurements were taken 202 yards from the exit as measured by a laser range finder. A flier was in the air when we took the measurements. When these measurements were taken it was 61 degrees F., 34% relative humidity, and 29.93 barometric pressure with no wind. This location is as far from the exit as we can go and still be on site. Because the exit was not in sight from here we measured the distance in two segments and added them together. From this location the intake was not in sight so we could not measure the distance to it. We could not get a compass heading for the same reason. The ambient noise here was 64.8 db. The noise at 605 RPM was 73.6, or 8.8 db above ambient.
